This Privacy Policy explains how Go Say Hi collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our social discovery and real-world planning services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect account and profile information, photos, interests, messages, Activities, Events, Communities, attendance and Show Up Score records, reports, support communications, device and usage data, and location when you use nearby discovery, Map, or meeting-point features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information to operate the service, recommend relevant people and local content, coordinate plans, send requested notifications, maintain reliability, process organizer payments, moderate content, prevent fraud, improve Go Say Hi, and comply with law.
3. Information Sharing
We share information with other users according to product visibility settings and with authentication, cloud, payment, Map, analytics, notification, moderation, support, and legal providers as needed. We may also share information when required by law, during a business transfer, or with your consent.
4. Your Profile Visibility
Your profile may be discoverable to adults in your selected area. Public Activities, Events, and Communities may be visible in Home, Search, profiles, or Map. People are never displayed as exact Map markers.
5. Location Data
We use general location for nearby discovery and profile context. Precise location is used only when needed for current-location search, confirmed meeting points, Event venues, directions, or Calendar details. Go Say Hi does not display your live movement or place people on the Map.
6. Data Security
We implement security measures including encryption of sensitive information, secure servers and databases, regular security audits, and access controls. However, no method of transmission is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. After deletion, we may retain legally necessary safety, payment, moderation, dispute, fraud-prevention, and compliance records. De-identified analytics may be retained.
8. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data, opt out of marketing communications, and withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, analyze app usage, and improve performance. You can control cookies through device settings.
10. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for authentication, cloud hosting, payments, Maps, analytics, notifications, moderation, and support. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
11. Children's Privacy
Go Say Hi is for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit people under 18 to use the service. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we will take appropriate action.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app, updating the "Last Updated" date, and sending a notification for significant changes.
